Description

Works such as Composition and Relief represent a totally different aspect of Rokos's work, one which is marked by the bringing together of heterogeneous items, a kind of 'assemblage' of limbs of the body, parts of a face, architectural members, and objects. Each sculpture has a story behind it, a tale fashioned by the artist as he carves spontaneously, without prior models, guided by his emotion, and without there being any final form in his mind. The artist rejects the concept of 'inspiration' in his work, since he draws data from the realities of the socio-political age in which we live and its experiences.
