"The Portrait of a Museum"

Exhibition for the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Museum. A retrospect of the most important exhibitions and activities which have marked the course of the Averoff Museum and shaped its identity as a museum.
Through diverse displays (artworks from the Museum’s collections and from other organizations and collectors, digital reproductions, archival material, photographs, children’s artwork, videos, interactive CDs, etc) and mainly through the manner of presentation and additional artistic interventions by contemporary Greek artists, the exhibition aims not only to present “the portrait of a museum”, but for the actual exhibition to constitute an artistic event.
