The exhibition was presented in E. Averoff Museum in order to mark the centenary of George Averoff’s death.
The collection of George Averoff bequeathed to the Greek State through his will in 1899, includes 78 examples of Western European Painting. These pictures were finally delivered to the National Gallery and Alexandros Soutsos Museum in 1911, when it was not yet functioning as a museum.
