Description
These works served as models for motifs which Chrysochoïdi worked on tirelessly from the end of World War II onwards. The women are often depicted in a lying position and nude, always with well-balanced organic curves which render the movement of each silhouette fluid. She combines features of ancient stylisation and simplification in the faces with markedly rounded masses in the bodies, thus achieving a distinctive type, interwoven with her style. Her figures are shaped in a manner which is simple and clear-cut, and convey a sense of completeness, of integrity.
