Description
The atmosphere created by Aravantinos's stage design and his contribution to the faultless staging and success of the performances evoked the admiration of distinguished men of the theatre and orchestra conductors who worked with him. One of the designs in the Averoff Gallery is the art work for the staging of Darius Milhaud's opera Christopher Columbus, with a libretto by Paul Claudel, staged at the Berlin Opera in a world premier in 1930.
