The exhibition included approximately 85 paintings selected from museums and private collections from Greece and abroad, with the goal of adequately the scope and diversity of the artist’s work.
Pantazis assimilated the creative innovations of his time and emerged as an important figure in 19th century painting. 
The exhibition was combined with a conference treating the subject of “Greek art and creativity beyond the borders” which investigated the reasons and consequences of the phenomenon, from antiquity to the present.
